Okay, it’s done. This is the first time this year that I am actually officially on sick leave. So today and tomorrow I will try to keep a low profile and spend some time in bed.
Yesterday morning when I got up, I didn’t feel so good, a little sweaty and feeling exhausted and moody in general. Upon getting up I realized that I was feeling dizzy also, but I got dressed and ready to leave for work anyway. Upon leaving my street I wasn’t sure whether that had been such a great idea. I mean, ride my scooter while feeling dizzy?? Yeah, right!
After getting to the main road, it was basically only straight driving, so it was okay. Upon entering the office, Olga, who is back to vacation today looked at me and asked me whether I was feeling okay. She said I was real pale and looked sick. Well…just what I needed, I am actually getting sick.
I actually thought that the dizzy spells would be lifted once I started working but alas, no, that didn’t happen. I felt dizzy almost the entire day even though my complexion changed and I didn’t look as sick. Well, I didn’t need to steady myself by grabbing on to anything but it sure felt weird but I stayed at work all day and managed to get quite a lot of stuff done.
After work, I returned home and eventually the dizziness seemed to disappear, and I decided to attend the weekly Red Cross meeting in the late afternoon. So I cooked the beef for Kaya, then prepared some scrambled eggs for myself and then left again.
Hassan, our boss kept the meeting short since the football game Germany vs The Netherlands started at 8:45 pm. He had set up a TV, so we gathered up and watched the game together.
It was great watching the game together, even more so since I actually don’t care for football, I just never got the hang of it.
My dizzy spells came back but only occasionally but eventually I decided to leave before the game was over. At home I turned on the TV and rushed to take a shower, while the game continued. Now it was 2:1, Germany still leading.
Germany managed to keep it that way until the game ended after 90 and some odd minutes of stoppage time.
Anyway, this morning when I woke up the dizzy spells were still there, so I first called the office, then my doctor to check whether I could just come in and then drove to my doctor’s office to get checked out. I explained all the symptoms, upon which she took my blood pressure and it was at a reasonable 130/90. To finish things, I told her my new weight, since she keeps track and left the building with a 2 day sick leave.
So today and tomorrow, I’ll get my cats and cuddle up in bed and that’s where I am headed now…
Stay healthy people and enjoy your Thursdays. 😉
All is well…
We are watching Italy vs Croatia. I am not a fan like the rest of my family, but I do like to watch to see all the dramatic, fake falls they do . . . very entertaining 😉 Hope you feel better soon!
I think that is the reason why I never got into it, way too much drama for my taste. Players holder their heads, when their opponent didn’t even come close to their head… ah well, it was fun anyway. 😉 I just slept a couple of hours and am feeling better already. Thanks for dropping by my blog.
🙂
Get plenty of sleep and couch time with your cats janet. Hope you feel better soon 🙂
I’m sorry you’re sick, but you know what. You deserve a couple of days to just snuggle with the cats. Relax, take it easy, and start back fresh again next week.
Feel better soon!
I am sorry you are not doing well… I hope you feel better soon! 😉
