So today is the day, that my official 1900 calorie challenge, instigated by shadowrun would come to an end.

This is my second weigh-in during the challenge. It’s been 14 Days since I upped my calorie intake to 1900 calories per day. I have to admit again, that I never hit the actual 1900 calories on the spot but I am okay with that. Eating so much, after years and years of keeping the calorie intake as little as possible are a difficult habit to drop. 😉

So let’s see how I did calorie wise, the past seven days;

  • Day 1 – 1869 cal
  • Day 2 – 1679 cal
  • Day 3 – 1709 cal
  • Day 4 – 1865 cal
  • Day 5 – 1954 cal
  • Day 6 – 1877 cal
  • Day 7 – 1471 cal

Apart from Saturday, where a sesame bar pushed me beyond the calories that I had intended to have, I did quite good.

Just like last week, I am feeling quite energetic. I am still feeling quite warm at times but not as frequently as I experience in the first 1900 week. Also, I am still as active upon returning home as in the first week. Well, I didn’t work out as much last week but that was due to TOM and I fully intend to work out today. Oh and I am still talking about calories too much I guess. I stopped talking to my family about it though, since they had to go through quite too much info it seems.

I wanted to share everything with them and basically talked to them about the things I talk about here…too much. Well, I guess, you people choose to drop by and read about it, whereas the rest of my family has to hear it, whether they like it or not. 😉

Well, I stopped talking to them about it and only occasionally mention something regarding my health or weight.

Anyway… Now, ladies and gentlemen, let’s get to what you might have been waiting for. My second weigh-in of the 1900 calorie challenge.

So, here you go. This morning when I stepped on the scale, the numbers again took a moment to settle… Eventually 261.5 lbs appeared on the display and stayed at it. So that means, in this second week with 1900 calories, I lost an additional 1.4 lbs, which brings me to a loss of 3.3 lbs within the last two weeks.

I am happy and thrilled!! I am happy and thrilled BUT…I feel like the past 2 weeks have not really shown the full potential of 1900 calories, because this past 2 weeks I have been exceptionally focused when it comes to my food choices.  It has been ages or so it seems, since I have last been as determined and said aloud “NO”, as often.

So, I have decided to continue this challenge for another 2 weeks at least, to be fully convinced that it’s not only my determination, that causes the loss, but also the 1900 calories.

Therefore that’s it for week 2 of the 1900 calories challenge and I am off for 2 more weeks. 😉

So here it is, the “last” official day of the 1900 calorie challenge.

Here is what I had yesterday and I have to confess, that despite the fact that I announced to the world that I would sin yesterday … I ended up not doing it!!

Don’t get me wrong, I fully intended to have this wonderful coffee concoction but on my way home the “iced” coffee fled my mind and I ended up taking the wrong route with my scooter, which again resulted in me not driving by the OBI market. So my calorie intake yesterday was way too low. Maybe I will be able to drive by OBI today but I fear I might forget it again.

So let’s just say, I might sin once a week, allowing myself to have a 220 calorie “iced” coffee. Maybe not yesterday or today, but I hereby declare officially, that I will allow myself to have a Mocaccino once a week. 😉


Yeah, yeah, 1471 calories, I know, it’s a joke when I intended to have 1900. By the way I just discovered that Loseit! tool seems to automatically adjust my calories with every pound I lose. So despite the fact that I started with 1905 calories per day, yesterday I was at an allowed calorie intake of 1892.

I will write another post about today’s weigh-in in a moment…but it’s good news. 😉
