Another week has again come to its end, bringing me to the end of the third week of my 1900 calorie challenge.
This is my third weigh-in during the challenge. It’s been 21 days since I upped my calorie intake to 1900 calories per day. Looking back, I seem to be able to hit above 1800 calories on 4 out of 7 days. So it’s only three days during which I struggled to meet the numbers. I guess that is good.
So let’s see how I did calorie wise, the past seven days;
- Day 1 – 1894 cal
- Day 2 – 1689 cal
- Day 3 – 1820 cal
- Day 4 – 1861 cal
- Day 5 – 1922 cal
- Day 6 – 1203 cal
- Day 7 – 1243 cal
Just like last week, on Saturday I went a little over the 1900 due to the Mexican veggies, where I cooked too much for one go and had Mexican again for dinner. Well, I guess I also could have left out the gherkins to meet the target. But I am fine with having gone overboard on one day. After all I wasn’t way overboard. After all there were 2 days were I unfortunately stayed really too far from my goal.
As you can see here.

DAY 21
I am not feeling as warm quite as often as during the first week. My body seems to slowly adjust to having more energy to live off. I am a little disappointed though that I didn’t manage to work out as often. At the moment I seem to be working out only 1-2 times per week and I really want to change that back to 3-4 times each week.
But all in all I am quite satisfied with my effort, well apart from the workout part that is. I have been very determined these past three weeks and so far things are going quite good, I think.
But let’s get to what I have been feverishly anticipating all week, my third weigh-in since I started this new experiment.
So, here you go. This morning when I stepped on the scale, the numbers didn’t take a long to settle and the numbers are …TADA – 258.9 lbs!!!!! So that means, in this third week with 1900 calories, I lost an additional 2.6 lbs, which brings me to a loss of 5.9 lbs within the last three weeks.
I am still feeling quite thrilled and while I might feel anxious, that this downward trend might soon come to an end, due to my experience within the last two years, at the same time I feel like I might eventually have gotten to something that really might be working for me. For how long, I don’t know… but for now I am content with my progress and the newly found determination that has not failed/left me once these past three weeks. Thanks again shadowrun and Julie for not giving up on me. 😉
Now to something totally different…my hair, yes, it had to go again and while I keep on joking with my hairdresser, to eventually cut it all off – we joke about that all the time, it seemed he was a little distracted since he wanted to cut my hair very short this time, while he had told me before that it wouldn’t suit me, due to the shape of my face, it being roundish I figure. Anyway, here a before and after picture.
MAY 29th 2012

Not much longer, but longer…
Here my new cut, after lots of hair gel and some craziness… 😉

I guess this cut was what I was aiming for, minus the weird expression. 😉
JULY 6th 2012 – here the way I go to work, nice and normal.

Right after ZUMBA 2
Anyway, I am off for now, to start my fourth week of the 1900 challenge.
All is well…
You must be thrilled! Eating more, and exercising less and you’re losing weight! I have a feeling this trend will last for a while. Keep aiming for the 1900 and exercising 3-4 times a week. Glad you’re not worrying about going over on Saturday. After all, you’ve averaged out quite nicely for the week. You’re NOT going to go backwards, and once you start leveling off, you can look again at your calorie intake. I’m so happy for you! Here’s to another great week! 🙂
Well, I really hope this will continue for a few more weeks because I was given a new Red Cross jacket yesterday with the size L, just imagine, “L”!! No XXXL but an “L”. The jacket fits, but it is a little tight, not much though. But if I were to lose 5-10 more pounds the jacket would be perfect. I am sure as long as I stay determined I can make it happen. 😉 I hope you also have a great week.
Great post! Congrats on your weight loss, keep up the good work! One thing I’ve found to be extremely helpful and useful as a supplement to my current diet/exercise plan is Fullbar (www.fullbar.com). Not only do their products help you lose weight, they also help you maintain your weight loss.
Hi Ryan, thanks for dropping by and for liking my blog. Sounds great, that Fullbar is working for you. As for myself, I am slowly trying to move away from all supplements and I actually didn’t even know Fullbar or Slendesta. Thanks for pointing it out though. Keep it up!
Cute cut! I think it looks great (with or without “crazy” face) 😉
Thanks squirrel circus. 😉
